Amber Flag Celebration Day

Amber Flag Celebration Day

What a day was had at our Amber Flag celebration!

The children enjoyed a range of wellbeing activities during the day, followed by the Flag raising ceremony.

We had a huge turn out of parents, who got to view photos, a pupil presentation from our committee, listen to beautiful friendship songs and meet past pupil and world championship winner Aoife Casey.

The Flag was raised, marking Lisheen NS as a school that promotes wellbeing.

Tea/ coffee and cake rounded off our wonderful celebration- well done to all!

Olympic Success

We are so proud of our past pupils Aoife Casey, Paul O’Donovan and Coach Dominic Casey with their amazing rowing achievements at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Paul won gold with Fintan McCarthy, Aoife finished 8th with Margaret Cremin and Dominic made it all happen. Congratulations to all at Skibbereen Rowing Club and also to our neighbour Emily Hegarty on her bronze medal. Stars all round!

A huge thank you to the Parents’ Association for all the fundraising they did this year to help us purchase these colourful benches for our school. They are a fantastic addition to our outdoor space.
